Clinical activities of Dr. Bevoni

From 1st January 2007 to 14th December 2009, Dr. Roberto Bevoni had a professional service contract at the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute, engaging in assistance, outpatient, and surgical activities in Section C (former 2nd-level traumatology), Section B, and Section A.

From 15th December 2009, he has been employed with an indefinite contract as a Level I Medical Manager at the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute.


In 2008, Dr. Bevoni collaborated on a research project related to cases treated at the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute with Fitek/Fitmore acetabular cups.

In 2008, he received the "Oral Presentation Award" for his work presented during the XVII International Congress on Sports Rehabilitation and Traumatology held in Bologna.

In 2009, he won, securing the first position, the AOFAS Travelling Fellowship, in which he participated in August of the same year, visiting foot surgery centres in Vancouver (Prof Alastair Younger), Seattle (Prof. Sigvard T. Hansen), Salt Lake City (Prof. Charles Salzman), San Francisco – Oakland (Prof. Roger Mann).


In 2010, he won the EFAS Travelling Fellowship Award, participating in September of the same year, starting from the International Congress EFAS (European Foot and Ankle Surgery) in Geneva 2010 and visiting Schultess Klinik in Zurich (Prof. Pascal F Rippstein), Clinica Louis Pasteur Essey les Nancy in Nancy, France (Prof. Patrice Diebold), and the University Hospital Basel in Switzerland (Prof. Victor Valderrabano).


In 2011, he received the award for the best presentation for the work presented at the 96th Italian Congress of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, titled "Chronic Achilles Tendinopathies treated with Platelet Gel," held in Rimini.


In July 2013, he attended the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Traumatology directed by Prof. Pascal Boileau at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire in Nice, France.


Since 2009, he has held a Managerial Assignment of a Basic Professional Nature for Foot Surgery.


Since 2014, he has held a Managerial Assignment of a Professional Grade B Nature for the treatment of Post-Traumatic Injuries and Pseudoarthrosis.

Courses and conferences

Dr. Roberto Bevoni has participated in numerous update courses and conferences in Italy and abroad. He has been a speaker at over 80 national update courses and conferences and more than 50 international update courses and conferences, both in Italy and abroad. He has managed the scientific secretariat of 25 national courses and conferences. He is a member or associate of the most important national and international orthopedic societies or associations, including SICP, SIOT, SIGASCOT, I-FAB, ICRS, AAOS, YSOS, EFAS, AOFAS, SIFE, ASAMI, AOTRAUMA.

He carried out the research project on "Articular Replacement of the Knee through Osteocartilaginous Transplantation," as well as projects on the "Importance of information and territorial education for the prevention and treatment of fractures from bone fragility in osteoporotic patients" and the "Treatment of grade I and II osteochondral lesions through intra-articular infiltration of autologous growth factors (platelet-rich plasma)." He served as a forum moderator on the website of the Encyclopaedia Medico Chirurgicale from 2005 to 2009 and as a collaborator on the Editorial Board of the Encyclopaedia Medico Chirurgica-Orthopaedic published by Elsevier from 2006 to 2010.

From November 2005 to September 2006, Dr. Roberto Bevoni held the position of Tutor at the University of Bologna for the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, with a tutoring contract dedicated to educational internationalisation. In the academic years 2005-2006 and 2006-2007, he taught "Pathologies of the Musculoskeletal System" in the Podiatry Degree Course. From 2012 to 2015, he was a Contract Professor at the University of Bologna for the "Orthopaedic Techniques" degree course in the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, where he lectured on the "Treatment of post-traumatic injuries of the lower limb." He served as a tutor for the Anatomical Lab on Surgery of the Upper and Lower Limbs, ICLO Teaching and Research Centre, Arezzo, September 15-17, 2014. He also served as a tutor for the External Fixation Esapodal Course, Hospital-Based Observership, IOR Bentivoglio, October 29-31, 2014. From 2015 to 2018, he was a Contract Professor at the University of Bologna for the "Orthopaedic Techniques" degree course in the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, where he taught on the "Diabetic Foot." Since 2018, he has been a Contract Professor at the University of Bologna for the "Orthopaedic Techniques" degree course in the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, where he lectures on "Pathologies of the lower limb, pelvic girdle, and lumbosacral spine.
